Kuju Kogen, with its vast green panorama in front of you, is located in a corner of Aso Kuju National Park.
Many precious plants inhabit the grasslands by “grazing” and “burning” for hundreds of years. Among them, “Noyaki” has been selected as one of the “100 Kaori Landscapes” by the Ministry of the Environment as “Kuju Shiki no Meadow, Noyaki Kaori” and has a value comparable to a World Heritage Site.

広大な緑のパノラマが眼前に広がる久住高原（くじゅうこうげん）は、阿蘇くじゅう国立公園の一角に位置する。
数百年という年月を「放牧」や「野焼き」によって、草原には貴重な植物が多く生息している。中でも「野焼き」は、「くじゅう四季の草原、野焼きのかおり」として環境省の「かおり風景一〇〇選」に選ばれており、世界遺産に匹敵する価値を持っている。
