Single Malt Kuju「Small Batch 01」Release！
久住蒸溜所のシングルモルトに新たなシリーズ「Small Batch(スモールバッチ）」シリーズが加わります！
スモールバッチとは、厳選した少数の樽のみを使用することで多くの樽を使用する通常のシングルモルト以上に造り手としてのこだわりや個性を楽しめる少量限定生産のシングルモルトです。より原酒の個性が際立って感じられるのが特徴です。
今回の「スモールバッチ01」は、シェリーカスクを主体に選び抜いた原酒をブレンドしました。香りから味わいまで一貫した凝縮感のある甘みが、原酒の複雑な香味と混ざり合い、飲み口のボリュームを感じられます。
時間とともに顕著になる粘性のある長い余韻をぜひストレートでじっくりご堪能ください。
香り：パウンドケーキ、ドライパイナップル、深みを帯びたオークの家具、日陰の落ち葉
味：アーモンドクッキー、シロップ漬けの黄桃、アメリカンチェリー、松葉
フィニッシュ：バターキャンディのような粘性のある甘みとクローブのスパイス

Kuju Distillery: Introducing the “Small Batch” Series
A new chapter begins at Kuju Distillery with the launch of the “Small Batch” series.
Unlike standard single malts that blend a vast number of casks, a “Small Batch” release uses only a strictly selected handful. This limited-production approach allows our distillers to showcase their uncompromising craftsmanship and the distinct character of the spirit. The result is a single malt where the raw personality of the components shines through with remarkable clarity.
Our debut release, “Small Batch 01,” features a blend centered around meticulously chosen Sherry casks. From the initial aroma to the final sip, you will experience a consistent, concentrated sweetness that interlaces with the complex flavors of the spirit to create a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel.
We invite you to enjoy this expression neat, allowing yourself the time to savor the viscous, lingering finish that reveals itself as the whisky breathes.

“For this Small Batch, we started with a small but exceptional selection of Sherry casks and built the profile out from there. During the blending process, my primary focus was how to maintain Kuju’s signature character amidst the powerful influence of the Sherry wood.
The composition consists mainly of Sherry casks with a small touch of Bourbon casks, resulting in a high-volume profile that evolves beautifully in the glass over time. Please, take your time and enjoy it slowly and neat.”
