In “tabi,” the third series of “Single Malt Kuju,” the theme is a “journey” to enrich and expand the range of Kuju’s flavors. If “michi” represents a single “path” pursuing our core house style, then “tabi” is a “journey” to expand upon those variations.

We venture out in search of new encounters to unlock the full potential of Kuju whisky. Our ultimate goal is to create a memorable, exquisite dram. We hope you will join us on Kuju’s “tabi” as we chase this dream.

The Concept: “Expanding Possibilities”

Until establishing our signature style, we chose not to take reckless risks. Instead, we focused on refining our technical skills and consistency to steadily deliver a reliable level of quality. Because of this, we take pride in our earnest, step-by-step approach to whisky making. Even so, we continue to take on various challenges. While it may not look flashy, we deliver this series under the concept of “expanding possibilities” through our daily trials as distillers and through new encounters. Rather than simply presenting individual characteristics in a straightforward manner, we showcase a new charm of Kuju born from a well-balanced blend that utilizes a certain amount of highly distinctive component whiskies.

This release is characterized by a “sweet and fruity” profile, with a distinct sweetness that asserts itself prominently in the aroma and the initial taste.

Aromas of vanilla biscuits and jasmine tea unfold gracefully. On the palate, a rich, fruity sweetness reminiscent of milk chocolate, peach jelly, and heated pineapple spreads smoothly. The experience finishes beautifully, with fruity notes and a soft woodiness lingering into the aftertaste.
